About the Role


Intern Responsibilities

Interns will be taught how to underwrite transactions ranging in size for $2.0 million to $300 million with the typical deal averaging $50 million. In addition to analyzing the financials for prospective deals, interns assist in creating financial request packages (decks) MMC uses to raise capital from banks and other capital providers. Interns will also conduct market research and in-depth analyses on Medicaid and Medicare programs and other reimbursement sources affecting the potential revenues available in different states in the U.S.

Interns will work remotely and or from one of MMC’s offices. While the position us unpaid, the internship can lead to a full-time position.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Intern will learn new modeling skills during the course of their internship

Overview Muchmore Capital

Muchmore Capital LLC (MMC) has offices in midtown Manhattan and Clarksville, MD. MMC is a FINCO and consulting company who finances nursing homes, assisted living and memory care facilities as well as multifamily properties. MMC is a licensed HUD lender. MMC specializes in financing steep value add and turnaround deals. In addition to financing, MMC performs due diligence including site inspections for its clients. MMC’s competitive advantage vis a vis FINCO’s, is that it sources and wins deals for its clients.

Jonathan Coven founded MMC in 2021 after working for Greystone & Co. (among the top HUD lenders in the U.S.) for 21 years. Chris Painter, the chief underwriter for MMC has 15 years experience originating HUD loans. Together, Jonathan and Chris have closed over $4.0 billion of HUD and or bridge to HUD loans, $400 million of which were closed or put under contract since founding MMC three years ago.
